Tatkal tickets can be booked on payment of extra charges on a first-come-first-served basis for all but first AC seats. Tatkal ticket charges are fixed at 10% of the basic fare for second class and 30% of the basic fare for all other classes.

If you’re booking tatkal tickets through ixigo, please remember that our booking window opens at 10:15 AM for AC classes and at 11:15 AM for NON-AC classes.
Tatkal booking window opens one day prior to the date of train origination, irrespective of the date of your journey. For example, for a train that starts from its original station on 22nd May, AC seat bookings would open at 10:15 AM on 21st May, the start date being the day of chart preparation.
